Let the shadows dance

Let the shadows dance

Last night, during a session with my own coach (yes—coaches get coached too), I had a breakthrough I feel called to share with you.

Moving into wholeness requires a willingness to grow.

Have you ever watched a seedling push its way through the soil? The sheer effort it takes to break through that final crust of earth just to feel the sun on its soft green leaves? It’s not passive. It takes something. It requires sitting in darkness and mud for a while. It asks for trust—trust in nature’s quiet wisdom that something better awaits. That the light is necessary, and worth it.

Just like those seeds, we carry within us both light and shadow.

Shadows are the parts of ourselves we’d rather not acknowledge. They can be painful to look at, so we press them down and keep them under wraps. But often—this comes at a cost.

When we find the courage to gently sit with our shadows, to breathe with them and give them air, we discover something unexpected: they carry purpose too. They’re not here to sabotage us. They’re here to complete us.

Without our shadows, we remain flat. One-dimensional. Life feels black and white—bland, lacking in depth. But when we allow ourselves to see clearly, shadows offer us the gift of three-dimensional vision. They bring shape, contour, and texture to the human experience.

Every shadow—envy, greed, procrastination, aggression—even disowned positive qualities like confidence—holds a hidden gift.

The key to unlocking that gift?

Balance.

Inside every one of us lives a deep well of Personal Power and Intuition. It never leaves—it may gather dust, it may feel distant, but it never disappears. It is your “I Am,” your steady flame, your sacred core. When we access that place within, it becomes easier to meet the shadows and invite them to dance with the light.

Because when Personal Power and Intuition take the lead, fear loses its grip. The breath deepens. The load lifts. A whisper rises up from within—clear, steady, and true:

You already know the next step.

This inner knowing is your birthright. It isn’t reserved for a chosen few. It only asks for one thing: willingness.

So how do we begin?

Here’s a simple, gentle practice—a way to let the shadows speak and be seen in the light of your inner wisdom:

Look.

Begin with awareness. Notice the parts of yourself you avoid—the thoughts, emotions, or patterns that feel heavy or unwelcome. Pause. Breathe. Witness your inner world without judgment.

Listen.

Tune in to the guidance of your Personal Power and Intuition. Let them be your teachers. Ask: What is this shadow trying to teach me? What is the deeper message it carries?

Love.

When the gift is revealed, let gratitude bloom. Love all of yourself—the radiant, the messy, the still-becoming. This is the key to wholeness.

You are not broken. You are blooming.

And when the light and the shadow come together, you don’t just grow—you evolve.

Still growing. Still becoming. In this together.

Sandra
